I think it’s a threat aimed at moving this into filibusterable territory. 42 Senators would be a defensible position, but if it gets that far I’m sure Turtle will find a way around that too. They are determined to pass this bill under any circumstances.
I don’t think McConnell will force this bill through. GOP Senators don’t have the benefit of favorable redistricting. In fact, if he doesn’t have the votes, it might be better politics for the GOP to let the Dems filibuster the bill than to bring it to a vote and lose.
People keep saying how Manchin is the best we can get from West Virginia and a seat is a seat, but if he gives the Republican’s bipartisan cover for this train-wreak the party needs to crucify him.

What Democratic actions? We’re in the minority, in case you haven’t noticed.
If we want Democratic actions, we need to elect more Democrats and take back control. That means we stop obsessing over individuals and their “flaws” and VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS in EVERY election. That’s all there is to it.

Hope it never even gets there, but he had discussed bringing it to the floor next week. I don’t think they’re going to want to give people time to get cold feet on it if it or let the CBO come out before jamming it through. It will be hard sell all the way.
