I’m sure you’re trying to be as accurate as possible, but your last statement would be more accurate if you indicated that Middleton is essentially a suburb of our capital, Madison, WI. The distance from Milwaukee isn’t as relevant as its distance from the capital (and maybe, the capitol).

Middelton used to be separate from Madison 20 years ago.
Now it’s all just one big metro area consisting of Madison at the center and all the smaller towns and cities as attached suburbs. Unless you are watching the signs you will never know when you have left Madison and entered Middleton.

TPM is just quoting the AP location description. AP is probably just taking into account the geographical ignorance of most Americans - Madison, where’s that? Just be glad they didn’t say “175 miles north west of Chicago.”

It’s the second fatal stabbing of a female college student in Iowa in recent months. An immigrant from Mexico is charged in the July slaying of University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts, who vanished while out for a run in the town of Brooklyn.
This second stabbing also involved an immigrant. Trumpp and the rest of the white-robed right will be going nuts over this.
Or not. You see, in the new case, the immigrant is the student and victim. The murderer is a pale young man from small-town Iowa.
