Discussion for article #238152
Obviously a good guy with a gun wasn’t there to prevent the carnage. Thanks, Obama!!
I think they mean “no longer searching for suspect”… The search for a suspect started when they found bodies, and ended when the figured out which of the bodies did the shooting…
NRA
Host seminars on suicide / murders.
Suicide being the first on the list of priorities of who gets shot first.
They are probably just lying to throw the suspect off guard.
I suspect that there was a good guy with a gun there, but once the bullets started flying he automatically became a bad guy with a gun. Its similar to how it works with “responsible” gun owners: they are all responsible gun owners until they start shooting up church folk, or whomever, then at the very millisecond that the trigger is pulled they become irresponsible gun owners.
Notice we aren’t talking about good gals with guns. How much would you be willing to bet that the shooter was one of the women? Not much right?
I think you are probably correct, but what a silly statement by the police:
Bryant emphasized that authorities were not looking for a suspect, but
officials would not say whether that meant one of those dead was the
shooter…
so, if they think the suspect is dead or in custody, then why not say so–otherwise what options are there? They just decided the suspect was too scary to go after? Or perhaps, the shooter was a friend of the police so they decided to let them go? What’s the point of being so mysterious?
The way we get our news these days, it could just be the lack of understanding on the part of the reporter. (We are talking the Carolinas here, and I am getting over my predilection of referring to North Carolina as “the good Carolina”)
Make that population about 64,996.
