I’m within thirty miles of there, but that community isn’t a center of attention for anyone but the low-IQ methbilly bigots. Nobody else realizes it exists except when this sort of prosecution makes the news.

That was in Garden City, Kansas. While the targets were indeed Muslims, these were even scarier, darker, an even greater threat to the purity that is White Murica — they were from [gasp] Somalia!

We could spend all day listing terrorist plots on Islamic centers and Muslim communities in the USA by people who imagine themselves to be “Christian”. But I can tell you as a local newsreader that this specific one in Delaware County was targeted (beyond just bar noise) at least the two times that I cited, and other times by even less-organized idiots.

"Police say three adults and a 16-year-old student plotted to attack an upstate New York Christian community and had access to 23 firearms and three homemade explosives at the time of their arrests.
Greece Police Chief Patrick Phelan told reporters Tuesday the Rochester-area residents had made plans to attack a rural fundamentalist Christian enclave west of the Catskills. The chief says the timing of the attack is unknown.
The three adults arrested were 20-year-old Osama Osama, 18-year-old Achmed Achmed and 19-year-old Amir Amir. Each was charged with weapons possession and conspiracy. A 16-year-old student at a Madrasa in Greece also was charged as an adolescent offender.
Phelan says it was a comment by the student during school Friday that launched the investigation.
Attempts to reach relatives to comment weren’t immediately successful."
