I’m stuck, reading the FT and other UK papers and mags at the grief the world feels at our tragic loss of status and power. When the Brits say “our America”, it kind of spins my head. When we change, their world changes too. I gather that’s DJT’s point, but it’s hard to remember, for me.
I read something a while ago, about how when Trump attacks journalists and the press, it not only affects the press here, but it gives license to other authoritarian leaders to persecute the press in their countries.
