Discussion: 27 Palestinians killed As Gaza Truce Unravels

Discussion for article #225818

Four and a half hours. That’s how long it lasted.

BBC News is shouting about how an Israeli soldier “may have been abducted” by Hamas. If that’s true, I’m afraid that soldier is dead. Either way, Israel now has a reason – or, at the very least, an excuse – to go far beyond closing the tunnels.

It was always their intent to go further. Israeli intent is severe reduction of the Palestinians. Whatever it takes. The Likud plan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkabkFvLYTk#t=247

Wait a minute.

This all started because 3 Israelis were kidnapped. Israel blamed Hamas and used it to attack Gaza.

Only later we found out that abduction wasn’t committed by Hamas. Israel knew it.

Why does the AP hate Israel and want it wiped off the map completely?

Why is Israel wiping the Palestinians off the map if they are ostensibly attacking Hamas?

I guess 27 dead is Bibi’s idea of a truce.

I wonder how many Palestinian soldiers have been abducted by IDF recently?

Its interesting that one of the reasons (excuses/provocations - insert your choice) for this latest flare up is that Israel went out and rearrested the Palestinians they had traded for the release of Gilad Shalit.

I guess kidnapping soldiers is Hamas’ idea of a truce. Seriously, no mention of that in the AP article? I get that Israel has made terrible mistakes, but it amazes me to see people siding with Hamas, an organization whose primary stated purpose is to commit genocide.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone siding with Hamas. I’ve seen a lot of people siding with the Palestinian civilians who are unquestionably the main victims of this stupid war.

I knew what would happen when Israel said it would keep hunting tunnels during the cease fire, this:

The army said they believe the soldier went missing in the Rafah area of Gaza when the Israeli military was attacked during a continued operation to destroy tunnels they suspect are used by militants to gain access into Israel. The Independent

You can’t continue military operations during a cease fire and expect it to work.

Nobody is siding with Hamas. Everybody is saying to Israel–stop acting like Hamas.
