Discussion for article #229837
Post-policy politics may be stupid, but at least it makes things a lot easier for our lazy political press.
In other news, only about 40 percent of the public even knows which party controls which branch of Congress. Are vacuous idiot newscasters part of the problem? Stay tuned!
Russert’s even writing a play:
¨The Importance of Being Ernst¨
Fuck you you little legacy hire. I will not watch any show that little twerp is on.
Here is an excellent example of why we decided dynasties in America were a bad idea.
He and other morons like him said exactly the same thing about Palin in 2008. I remember one “analyst” who gushed that American politics would now be divided into “BP” and “AP” – before Palin and after Palin.
Ernst won by a) taking advantage of the off-year electorate, and b) concealing/lying about all her positions. When she reverts to form and shows her full crazy, she will have no more national future than Palin or Bachmann.
I am quite confident we will be rid of her (and Tillis, and probably Gardner) in 2020 – when there will be presidential turnout.
Of course. If you’re NBC or any of the rest of the MSM, do you want to be reporting on this milkable nonsense or just reporting “Braley won re-election. Now, excuse me while I have to find something else to talk about”? The MSM had a vested interested in folks like Ernst…not just for narrative but because hey, guess which side was spending more on advertising.
Some things just stand the test of time…

Weren’t they saying the same thing about Scott Brown after he won the Senate seat in Massachusetts?
In a castrated pig’s eye.
He’s getting those little sparkly things in his eyes when she winks at him…and his little weenie is getting excited.
Luke Russert …seasoned political reporter.
Representing everything that is wrong with TEEVEE news
Seriously, she has nothing you’d call charisma, just a brassy sense of entitled self-regard. She’s the kind of person Mike Judge has satirized brilliantly for a long time—unsophisticated, vastly overconfident, never deviating from two or three simple ideas about the world, with no room in their small minds to ever accommodate feelings of ambiguity or doubt about anything.
Which involved completely ducking the press for the final week . A closed mouth cannot admit a foot
Not impressed with Luke, he’s certainly not his father.
she’s very crude… and the continuing references to castration are curious. imagine a democrat speaking like that and the attendant commentary… it will be interesting to see if this schtick plays well once she gets to the senate, because she’s going to be a sought after pol for the teevee shows. who will take her under their wings – mcconnell or cruz…
re luke… daddy must have had it written into his contract that sonny gets a job in perpetuity… there’s no way he’s been able to hang on without some kind of special consideration. and that’s confirmed by the fact that he hasn’t been given his own show; and is barely used for segments. but the sense of entitlement is off the charts with him.
As if the vapid, meaningless nonsense he’s vomiting weren’t enough, just look what it says under him on the MSNBC ticker: “Will “fangate” affect the Florida governor election?”
Really? That’s not journalism. That’s mental problems. Fuck MSNBC.
Luke should stick to actual reporting of the facts and stop trying to be Chuck Todd.
I guess the Democrats were wrong to be “so happy about it.”
With MSNBC I just leave it at “I will not watch any show.” Ditto Fox, CNN et al. Every single one of them costs you minutes of your life, and IQ points, that you will never get back.
