That thrilling feeling ya get from restricting any help to little kids just isn’t the same
when there are less of them —
The rule shifts millions of dollars from Planned Parenthood to faith-based family planning organizations.
So will there be exactly the same number of faith-based family planning organizations as there are faiths represented in the US? Will women be able to choose which faith-based planning clinic they can go to?
Satanic Temple are you organizing now?
I’m guessing it’s the same States suing Dotard over his Fake Border Emergency?
Good. Keep tying this crap up in court. I have zero problem with that.
These states which immediately go after trumPP’s unconstitutional policies seem to be The Usual Suspects, American style.
It’s nice seeing my state of Pennsylvania on that list, especially since Pennsylvania went to Trump in 2016. Michigan too.
Seems like PA voters along with MI and WI have buyer’s remorse. They’re not going to make that mistake again.
The only faith-based family planning organizations are run by faiths that don’t think terminating a pregnancy should be unlawful. So I think the number you are talking about is zero.
The money is being diverted to a bunch of scam artists and brainwashers.
I hope you’re right. I hope they’re not just expressing concern…
All 3 states have Democratic Governors. Pennsylvania’s was just elected to a 2nd term, so fingers crossed.
Here in Pennsylvania, I actually think that Trump won in 2016 because a lot of people did protest votes. I’m still bitter about that.
I’m just happy to see both my States, Connecticut and Wisconsin (yes, Wisconsin, oh ye of little faith), being part of the litigation.
The big picture here is that the GOP relentlessly advances an agenda that is ever more extreme and ever more contemptuous of liberal concerns. In fact the GOP basically is driven by an adversity to Democrats. Which brings me to this fantastic interview with Brad De Long, which blew my mind. He basically argues that Democratic centrism (which he fervently advocated while in the Obama administration) is simply impracticable because it depends on moderate Republican partners that simply don’t exist any more.
“Barack Obama rolls into office with Mitt Romney’s health care policy, with John McCain’s climate policy, with Bill Clinton’s tax policy, and George H.W. Bush’s foreign policy,” DeLong notes. “And did George H.W. Bush, did Mitt Romney, did John McCain say a single good word about anything Barack Obama ever did over the course of eight solid years? No, they fucking did not.”
It’s moments like this that make me so proud to be living in Washington state!
There are several pieces of reporting on this, here’s one at random.
Well , if it IS taken down , then the Grand Ol* Perverts won*t need to go across State Lines to have their Girlfriends/Mistresses have abortions . ( Mind , that way their wives will soon find out ) .
