I am loving this move and am expecting more AGs will be joining them in demanding this worthless acting Session’s replacement to recuse himself in the Russia investigation.
But I’m betting he doesn’t know what that means, though.
I like this, but realistically it should be tilted “18 Attorneys General Pee into Wind.”
I think it’s growing evident that, far from some sort of coordinated post-midterm strategy, firing Sessions was a fit of presidential pique, driven by the dotard’s extreme embarrassment and shame from his inept clownshow press conference, and that everything since has been a mad scramble by helpless/hapless aides to hang some sort of lampshade on it.

Agreed, I see no measured hand on this. But that press conference the other day spoke many words on his mental and emotional state.
Many people are saying Donald Trump denies all requests for measured hands because he is afraid they are very small (or weak)!

Given all of this – including his history of false statements in the media on the issues, Whitaker could well be looking at jail time down the road.
The attorneys general of Massachusetts, New York, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia on Thursday called on Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker to recuse himself from oversight of the Mueller probe, citing questions about his “impartiality.”
If you were going to end the paragraph with the word “impartiality,” Mr. Shuham, perhaps it might have been good to note somewhere that all 18 attorneys general who signed the letter are Democrats.
That said, the fact that no Republicans signed the letter probably comes as a surprise to approximately no one.
I find it despicable and a bit horrific that 18 attorneys general are calling on Whitaker to recuse. It should be much, much closer to 50 attorneys general.
Eighteen and one.
Except I’m not an Attorney General.
I just pay Whitaker’s freaking salary. It’s not their government.

I wonder of our Dem AG in KY will join in. He’s running for Gov. The blue wave was a bit shallow here in the Bluegrass…unfortunately.
Well, of course he’s a provocateur. Of course he’s wounded and scared. And being a dotard. And a bully. And all of that.
But this move was rather brilliant. Done immediately after the elections, before the dust settled. To shock everyone into submission. While he says, “you didn’t embrace me and you lost, GOP”. He’s consolidated his power over GOP while at the same time making huge inroads into deescalating the question of his criminal activity to the level of political dispute (well, of course Democrats would investigate him and cook up evidence.)
We cannot lose Mueller’s investigation. It’s too costly. Mueller better stand up tomorrow. Deep breath. It’s Friday. The day of indictments.
And for the record, ALL dictators are inept and embarrassing. That is why they become dictators. Smart people can navigate corridors of power without difficulty so they don’t have to become dictators to stay in power. And yes, even with such huge handicap as utter stupidity dictators somehow manage to turn republics into dictatorship. Over and over. For many generations.
There is too much at stake to dismiss Trump as yet another dotard.
So? Trump and the rest of his administration does not give a shit what these AGs say, because they are fascists. MAGA!
