shorter version - “How dare you do exactly what you said you were going to do when we overwhelmingly voted for you!!!”
So can anyone hire a Medicaid slave, or is this new class of workers only available to incorporated businesses and other organizations? Are there standards or requirements for hiring Medicaid slaves, or is it just minimum wage for the requisite number of hours?
“Ronnie Maurice Stewart, is a 62-year-old who suffers from diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure and vision problems and recently retired due to declining health.”
In other words, in way better shape than President Slimshake.
Many thanks to the SPLC and the 15 Kentucky citizens willing to stand up to the Trump oligarchy. I hope we see similar challenges in the other states whose Governor’s seek waivers to similarly victimize the indigent in their own states.
I’m thrilled about this. I’m hoping a judge stays implementation of this seriously nasty law as it works it’s way through the court system. Bevin is up for reelection next year, and if Louisville, Lexington, and Frankfort come out in big numbers we can overwhelm the rest of the state and vote his ass out.
It doesn’t say anything about Ronnie being a golfer …
Bigly difference —
By Kentucky’s own estimate, the new rules will lead to nearly 100,000 fewer people being enrolled in Medicaid. The state says this reduction will be due to Medicaid recipients finding jobs and switching to employer-sponsored insurance.
Is this the same employer-sponsored insurance that, thanks to the actions of the Cockholster Cabal, employers can no longer afford to sponsor or the employer-sponsored insurance that employers don’t offer to under-employed minimum-wage to begin with?
Photo caption: You really think it’s okay if I put Medicaid recipients in stocks and let people pay to pelt them with rotten vegetables? I was totally joking!
Poor Ronnie Maurice - he thought Tramp was gonna take everything away from them, not from him!
Ha! As if. He’s already got stars in his eyes onaccounta we’re comin’ up on MickyD’s Shamrock Shake time ‘o’ year!
It’s just maddening. The Medicaid expansion has been a huge success here. 100s of thousands have gotten insured. Health outcomes have improved. We’ve moved up the list on several key health indicators. And this fool wants to undo all that out of spite.
naw pluck …
This is like when ya don’t feed yer kids cause they haven’t done all their chores —
Then… they’re not strong enough to EVER finish them …
Saves a lot of money on food and it’s a great ’ learning tool ’ —
Everybody does it —
I was in Frankfort today lobbying for the Botanical Gardens in hopes we can save the promised monies allocated to us in light of Bevin’s budget slashing. I was googling all the reps present and boy howdy do we need do get rid of more than just Bevin.
Also too: Massie district 4 met with some alt right KKK group yesterday at UL. Not even in his district and he holds no open meetings in district 4. Indivisible was there and got it all recorded.
It’s not spite plucky. The huge success of 100s of thousands getting health insurance is an affront to the self-made man, pull yourself up by your bootstraps GOP ideology.

I ~love~ this picture of Trump. Tired, distracted (he’s looking off in space, beyond Bevin’s fingers that Bevin appears to be counting his animated points on), fatigued and vacuous. This is who will be on display at Davos. Captures him and his dotardesque way of getting through meetings when it is past the phase of the meeting where each person has to give a sycophatic chorus of praise for glorious Trump. And he won’t be getting many of those at Davos - or if he does - from his entourage of cabinet members - it will be an international spectacle. Again. As every of his international meetings has ended up delivering.
Ya, but eventually the authorities crack the code and find that there are a slew of malnourished kids chained to the furniture, massively malnourished and undersized. Except it is at the state and national level. And it is starting not to be just a ghastly news story used as a metaphor.
Yeah, his district is Northern KY. That makes no sense. Well, we just need to make sure we support Patty Piatt in every way we can.
makes ya wonder …
Good for the So Poverty Law Center. Great group.
And the only wealthy person I know has a foundation that gives mucho bucks to this group.
