If this keeps up, pretty soon there won’t be anyone white males can think they’re better than.
Good job, guys.
You’ve managed to get Wisconsin onto the same last as the likes of Alabama and Texas. You should be proud!
This gives a whole new meaning to “circling the drain”.
When this suit hits the Supreme Court–and it will–I hope we have enough Justices who can really consider this topic on the human level. It’s very important we progressives do our homework with regards to educating our friends and families like we did on gay rights in general. Though Transgender (T) is part of the LGBTQ community, Trans folks have a way different and, many times, much more difficult road to walk down.
It’s not jobs. It’s not economic security.
It’s genitals.
ALWAYS about the genitals.
Leave my browser history out of this you son of a bitch!
Guess who’s laughing all the way to the bank…?
You can bet it’s not the taxpayers.
Instead of fixing roads and bridges and taking care of their citizens they are trying to legalize bigotry. Just what I would expect from such good Christians.
It should be pointed out with a running tally just how much this bit of bigoted grandstanding is going to cost tax payers.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the crux of their argument appears to be that because Title VII and Title IX were passed before our contemporary understanding of “sex” included gender identity, the mean old Obama administration can’t force them to comply with any guidance on that relates to gender identity.
So if these states are victorious, perhaps we can go back to an understanding that the 2nd amendment only applies to muskets and bayonets. After all, original intent and all that.
Well slap my pee-pee!!
@beattycat saw Kinky Boots on stage at the WaltonArtsCenter. The Transgendered actors received standing ovations for the performances…They were gorgeous. Elegant. And awe inspiring. And TALL. I was communing with the president of the CEnter a few weeks ago and he related that the performers cried backstage because of the obvious support. I live in a good place.
Here is evidence the RWNJ’s were right all along. We needs us some Tort Reform!
Damn you! I almost wet my granny panties!
And not a clue was had by any of them that they sound exactly like, and are making exactly the same arguments as, the white supremicist segregationists in opposing Brown v. Board and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Wisconsin???
That sounds dangerously close to journalism to me.
But aren’t they just guidelines? It’s like suing the Federal Government over the CDC’s guidelines on STD prevention.
These assholes are shameless.
