Open enrollment lasts until Feb. 15th. Given the fact that most humans procrastinate at least somewhat, I’ll wait to see what the numbers look like in another month or so (but 6.4 million at this point seems positive)

I distinctly remember, this time in 2013, the media’s yowling on the messed up website and the GOP already declaring that the ACA failed. On this website alone, the trolls were chortling about what a bust “Obamacare” was. Fast forward to now and there are no signs of this law going always due to lack of interest and/or support from Americans.

I will never forget Andrea Mitchell on Meet The Press smiling knowingly as if she said the wisest thing in the world when she talked about what a disaster it will be when people start filing insurance claims on Healthcare.gov. No one disabused her of that idiotic notion nor was there any attempt to clarify that the website was merely a vehicle to obtain coverage. And we wonder why we can’t have nice things!

All these ObamaCare “signup” numbers are wildly inaccurate and intentionally misleading. There are more than 280 MILLION folks - EVERYONE with medical insurance in the USA - that are covered under the PP-ACA law, aka ObamaCare. NOT even close to the pittance stated in the headline of 6 million or so.

Another 1.9 million NEW, previously-uninsured Americans that joined the 280Million+ other Americans in having health insurance while using the on-line healthcare insurance exchanges.

Is the 4.5 million done? If you are automatically re-upping, did that have to already happen? I know my policy rolled over with this month’s payment, but I’m not sure if everyone’s did that. That number might be as high as it gets tho. Everyone automatically re-enrolling might have done so already.

Dynamic scoring!

Let me get this straight:

6.4 Million ppl. either renewal or 1st x sign-ups
Economy grew by 5% in the 3rd quarter
Dow hit 18,000 1st time in American history
Gas price is below $2.40 per/gal
Unemployment below 6% (57 straight months of job creation 1st in Amer. history)
US Trade Deficit drop to $43.4 Billion in Oct. w/ Oil prices continue to drop to all time low
Clean Energy growth up 2000%

And Amer. said GOP is better at dealing w/ the economy… We shall see (Jan. 15,2015).

ABSO-F’ing-Loutely! I was just in Indy today and gas prices are at about $1.95 to 2.00. This administration is knocking it the hell out the ballpark. Problem is, with great apologies to RuPaul, “How the hell is anybody gonna love you if you don’t love yourself?” The administration isn’t selling their many and vast accomplishments. They’re too busy worrying they’re going to offend somebody who isn’t reaping the benefits of the improving economy. I get that, but part of improving the economy is boosting the perception of an improving economy. They keep letting the media tell it and the media is only motivated to tell the story that they want to tell. That story is never a good one for a Democratic administration.

And this from TheHill:

Yeah - those assholes.

The President has nothing to do with oil prices. He can’t take credit when they are low and he should not take the blame when they are high. It is all speculation and now OPEC is flooding the market so thankfully for so many, it is helping. As much as I love and adore this President, he can’t take credit for this but he can take credit for single handedly moving the country in the right direction since he got no help from anyone else for sure.
