The Department of Homeland Security is conducting an investigation into a hand drawn swastika that was discovered on the third-floor of the Washington, D.C. headquarters on Friday, CNN reported.

I was thinking more along the lines of asking the cleaners if theyâd been washing off other âart workâ and just hadnât reported it. Itâs possible. It could also narrow the time frame for this deed to have been done which could maybe be useful.

Was this done as an act of resistance, of condemnation, of DHS policies? Speaking truth to power? Iâm not sure from the article the rationale of the perpetrator.

I might believe that if you hadnât found a swastika. As it is, Iâm inclined to believe that, in fact, there is room in your workplace for such things.
Theyâre investigating the hand-drawn one because itâs an insult to the official (and authenticated) Nazi Battle Flag hanging in the DHS executive conference room (right next to the Confederate and Russian ones, above the American one).

Wonder which particular department in DHS has offices on 3rd floor and if it is staff only or if visitors have access to it in any circumstances? I would hazard a guess it was in one of the bathroom stallsâeither menâs or womenâs.
