DHS Attempts Yet Another Feat Of Quantum Bureaucracy To Shore Up Chad Wolf’s Legal Status | Talking Points Memo

Didn’t someone, someone important today say:

“We’re going to have an orderly transfer from this administration to the next one,” McConnell told reporters, per CNN.

WTF, don’t they talk to each other anymore?

I want war if this bullshit continues. I want war on a scale that shames the Civil War and the bodies piled high until everyone left is crying for mercy and then I want more war on top of it. If they steal this shit, IT. IS. OVER. for this country. Completely. Fucking. Over.

END. GAME. NMNQ

McConnell was referring to Pompeo’s assurance that we would have a smooth transition to a second Trump administration.

Updates:

The four-member board’s two Republicans voted against certification, while its two Democrats voted to certify the results. Joe Biden holds a lead of nearly 148,000 votes in Michigan, and Democrats in the state believe the partisan split of the board in Wayne County – home to heavily Democratic Detroit — simply delays an inevitable official victory for Biden in the state.

But in the short term, the standoff provides a public relations win to the Trump campaign and a group of Republican lawyers and activists who have questioned the legitimacy of the count in Detroit, which went overwhelmingly for Biden.

The head of the Michigan GOP congratulated the board in a statement.

“I am proud that, due to the efforts of the Michigan Republican Party, the Republican National Committee and the Trump Campaign, enough evidence of irregularities and potential voter fraud was uncovered resulting in the Wayne County Board of Canvassers refusing to certify their election results. This action will allow more time for us to get to the bottom of these deeply troubling irregularities,” said Laura Cox, the state party chair. “The people of Michigan deserve fair, open and transparent elections, and we will continue to fight for just that.”

Get ready for a fight.

Who wrote that shit? How is it a “PR win” for them.

Sure, let’s just not count the big black city of Detroit. On what planet does the writer believe that that’s positive PR.

Washington Post.

Don’t blame me.

I know, just ridiculous how they could manage to bothsiderism this somehow and deem it a win.

They are testing the waters for the state legislature plan and the ability to simply refuse acceptance of election results when they don’t win. This does immeasurable damage to our democracy and the country’s ability to remain cohesive. Blue states across the country should see this as the first shot in a Civil War and start declaring themselves independent nations. There is literally no longer a United States of America if the GOP has decided that it no longer considers anything valid but its own unobstructed, unopposed and unmitigated RULE over the country.

Fucked up the timetable - too damn bad. That can lose you jurisdiction in an appellate court and there is no recourse.

It’s a recipe for an explosion.

Literally. There should be no waiting. Blood in the streets should be happening already. When are people going to wake the fuck up and accept that there is literally no limit with these people. They are fucking done “playing house” with everyone they consider inferior and illegitimate. This election will be stolen before we fucking know what happened if we simply refuse under any circumstances to react and just sit on our thumbs pretending they won’t go any further…and then when they do, pretend that they won’t go further than that…and on and on ad infinitum. THEY MUST BE FUCKING SUBJUGATED.

Oh, absolutely. And that Michigan is relatively early in certification means that we’re likely to see this play out again in other states in short order, the old monkey-see/monkey-do bit.

Like things weren’t already on edge enough.

Oh, relax. They haven’t done anything yet, this is still just kids’ games.

If they actually do try to steal electoral votes, then the streets will fill up.

But this right now is parlor games, only question is how many copy-cats we’re going to see.

I sincerely hope this results in riots. I want the GOP to know that they are never ever ever going to know peace again. EVER.

I agree it’s not time for Paul Revere’s ride just yet but I don’t think the voters of Detroit are going to wait to be pissed off about this.

That’s the explosion I meant.

When are you and others going to stop using this excuse?

I’m sure we’ll hear from Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham this evening criticizing the Republicans on the Wayne County canvassing board and demanding that the state board properly certify the vote.

If they were to actually steal them. Goes to the state board who has until Dec 13th. So if something happens and they don’t certify and throw it to the legislature, that’s kind of a bright line.

MI Supreme Court is 4-3 in GOP favor. They will throw out any order that the canvassing board certify the results.

Trump just probably won MI…and all it took was the vote of 2 people to overturn the election results.
