Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) wants a new, specialty election crimes office to allow police to chase imaginary election fraud cases around the Sunshine State, the latest in months of crackdowns on voting rights in the wake of Donald Trump’s lies about election theft.

Special cops? May I suggest the Keystone ones.
In a later interview, someone said he wanted them to wear brown shirts and high boots.

Here in Savannah, we have a drop box at a County services complex that includes automobile registration, driver’s license services, building permitting and inspection, zoning services, and business license services, all within 100 feet of the box. All these offices have employees, and they all have clientelle to serve.
So I’m to take it that Florida is having a rabid bat problem?
But seriously anyone who has voted in their own state more than once can tell when something is off.
Tues. I went to my polling place, during the pandemic they had moved the room we have voted in since the mid 60s to the gym closest to the outside doors. Then last election we were back up on the 2nd floor, but on Tuesday the signs and arrows all looked like they were pointing to go up to the second floor, well that was wrong. We were in a another gym.
For the off part there was a poll worker in his Scottish kilt, now that a new one for me.

Here’s a better idea: Let’s create special cops to hunt down insurrectionists who plotted, coordinated, and funded the violent overthrow of the US government in a cop-killer riotfest.
Including elected office holders.

Isn’t it odd that a non law enforcement entity is tracking cell phone data on voters, citizens, without some kind of probable cause?
ETA: is monitoring cell phone data like the new monitoring low radio frequencies?
