It would have been better if it was “Wednesday, the show’s production team took to their lawyers office and issued a cease & desist letter to take the ad down.”

The real question here, is who the hell cares about what happens in beauty pageants? Reductively, they are inherently sexist, but nevertheless survive through a combination of vanity, insecurity, and greed. Whoever competes is inherently objectified and reduced to assessments of societally idealized symmetry and proportion no matter how many obligatory “talent” portions there are. None of it matters in the least and whoever competes is, by definition, irrelevant. This is a non-issue.
I think it has been elevated to an issue, because super-macho guys like Trump and DeSantis feel ookey when they inadvertently find trans-women attractive. I can see them running away and mumbling “No homo, no homo.” Idiots.

I have watched DeSantis’ ad a second time (I won’t watch it a third.) I have a question. I understand that DeSantis claims to be anti-gay but is he pro homoerotosism? Whoever released that video certainly is.

Apparently the Republicans have. A few years ago politicians would run away from monsters like DeSantis for fear that the “good” people wouldn’t support them. Now they look to the sick wackos to be their target audience.

First off, we need to remember who De’Santis is speaking to on on the OutKick show “Tomi Lahren is Fearless,” they say a picture is worth a 1,000 words and below is a picture of the host that leaves little more to be said about her and who tunes in for shows.
So for bat shit crazy people, will this work to get them to vote for DeSantis over Trump?
My guess is only marginally because one thing I’ve noticed is that these folk have no issue with hypocrisy. So does DeSantis know what he is doing and how silly he looks to everyone else, Yes and he does not care. DeSantis needs some way to chip away at Trump’s base and maybe this helps. As this looks and sounds to people who don’t want to carry a gun around aimed at the privates, he does not care because in the GOP primary he is taking the “not totally bat shit crazy vote”, often known as the “never Trumpers”, for granted.
