Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Wednesday drew yet another outlandish comparison as he continues pushing for schools to reopen amid skyrocketing COVID-19 fatalities in the state.
“She viewed reopening her schools as a mission akin to a Navy SEAL operation,” DeSantis said. “Just as the SEALs surmounted obstacles to bring Osama bin Laden to justice
Martin County Superintendent has no idea the definition of justice, if she really did say this. I thinks DeSantis hasn’t quite captured the “many people are saying” trope that Trump uses.
OK Ron, let’s take this from the top again. Analogies are usually made between things that are similar in some way. We don’t send our children into the same sort of situations we send elite commando units. You went to Yale and Harvard? Dude.
A crisis brings out either the best or the worst in those who we elect to be leaders.
It will be interesting to look back at DeSantis’ past and see where he ever demonstrated any sort of ability to handle a crisis, or even real responsibility.
That thing where you realize that the stupid isn’t in any way an act and that the governor of one of the nation’s largest states, really, for real, maybe has an IQ as high as 90.
I know it’s “Floriduh” but most of us here in the Sunshine State see right through DeSantis’s BS. You don’t have to be the kind of person that regularly brushes his teeth or takes off his hat indoors to know that going to a Walmart and going to a High School English class have nothing in common. That’s why dear Ron’s numbers are tanking and forcing kids into schools will sped that up. The plan is to give the illusion of all things normal again for Dear Leader’s reelection odds. But there’s a problem. When reality clashes with fantasy the end is always the same. Kids will go. They’ll get sick as they did in Georgia. Parents and teachers will get sick and a few will die. That’s what will happen and it probably will before November 3.
