Actually. Yes. These are the guys (referring to a Trumpian anecdote) that played with butterfly knives as kids and required frequent medical assistance. The only reason they survived is they had good medical care and parents who didn’t put them on a raft out to sea.

Dershowitz, Trump and Clinton conspired to murder Jeffrey Epstein. I say that with actual malice, and with complete disregard for whether it is true or false. My only intent is to blackguard all of their reputations.

Shorter Dershowitz: Any President is above the law if they believe their actions are in the best interest of the country, and we cannot debate that because the President’s motives are unknowable.

Dershowitz was a criminal defense lawyer. OJ was a criminal defendant and was found not guilty (yeah, I know), so Dershowitz was doing his job. Same with Von Bulow (yeah, I know). It’s his ridiculous “I’m not a constitutional scholar but I play one on TV” routine that turned him into a joke as a lawyer.
What Dershowitz meant to say is “when the President or any of his supporters tell you to 'ignore the evidence of your eyes and ears, it is [the] final, most essential command.”
And at some point, they will send all copies of 1984 down the memory hole.

I think what Dershowitz missed i his attempt to bullshit through this is not in what he said but who he said them about. It’s not possible that Trump, as he’s shown himself to be in the last 3 years, does anything out of the “nations interest” He does everything out of self interest. That truth makes his strong arming a foreign country worse.
