What a joke.

“Grumpy old Men”. More proof that Trump and the GOP will turn the trial into a farce. These guys are poison and it shows that they already believe that they have acquittal all sewed up. It’s not a defense it’s offensive and these old assholes will make a mockery of the proceedings.

I think you’ll see a lot of theatre, a flurry of lies and misrepresentations of the evidence in order to give the GOP the fig leafs needed to vote to acquit. Dems are going to have hammer home the facts of this case, the impact to national security, and the issue of lawlessness.

I hear that Former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court Roy Moore is in between gigs.

So witnesses testifying under oath?

My TV mute button is gonna get a lot of action.

Better than Gym and Nuuuunes. And Turley failed his screen test.

Is there anyone more disgustingly hypocritical than Ken Starr? - everything he says in Trump’s defense will be a giant irony bomb.

So the GOP brought in the defense team for one of the most notorious individuals in human trafficking and abuse. Bold move, but smart to find lawyers without a trace of conscious. Particularly Ken, what me care? Starr.

Starr’s got Kavanaugh hidden away in a conference room writing another porn-tastic impeachment report about Hunter.

Dems should also take shots at the defense team and how compromised they are. Target Cipollone, Sekulow. Make it clear to the people that these are cover up artists not lawyers.

“The list notably excludes the man at the center of the Ukraine pressure campaign, Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani.”

Can’t throw someone under the bus while they’re still on it.

ties to the alleged human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein

By the way, did Dershowitz or Trump turn in the human trafficker or did they just joke about the young girls he “had a taste for”?

I’m just trying to assess their rigorous appreciation for law enforcement.

If the Republicans are unable to stave off the call for witnesses, do they go all in and call Schiff and the Bidens? I know Graham keeps threatening that they will do it, which of course is a sign they will not, but hiring a bunch of television lawyers perhaps is a way to legitimate the crazy? If Matlock calls a chimpanzee to testify, middle America will nod and say: “if Matlock is doing it, it must be okay…”

As it’s not going to be a real trial, why bother having real lawyers?

Gee, one of Epstein’s co-conspirators, the GOP’s pornographer in chief from the Clinton impeachment, trump’s co-conspirator in the matter he’s being impeached for, and a couple of other sleazebags.

A sterling cast of characters representing our treasonous and criminal president…

Heck, Sekulow is named in some of these communications.

Here’s the thing for me: Like you say, the Dems have to be hammering on the facts, despite the fact that these will be shouted down. Can our guys focus enough from the distractions to ensure that correct information gets out? Will Roberts suppress stuff in favor of the GOP dream team?

There’re a lot of moving parts here. Lots of 'em.

No Nazi’s or Russian’s?
Maybe they are in the background threatening the Senators.

With a team like that, how can you win? Unless maybe you have Rethugs as jurors.

Did you think anyone with a legitimate legal career and a future of more than five years in the judicial would want any part of this?

Dersh and Starr are way past their prime - they have no future. If their legacy is irrefutably attached to this, it won’t affect any future cases.
