Here is how the Trump campaign is preparing for the election in Eastern Iowa. They filed to disenfranchise American citizen voters in eastern Iowa by going after the election officials. The link below shows the filing by the Campaign.

Cedar Rapids just got hit with a storm that damaged 9 of 10 homes. The cleanup will last until December. Power is expected to be out for a week. I hope that in light of all, that the court rules on behalf of American citizen voters, and not on the court filing of some tin-pot dictator wanna-be.

If they’re doing this to save Trump and Joni in Iowa, their internals must be staggeringly bad.

This is either going to demoralize or galvanize people. But I can assure you, demoralization will lead to a Trump victory in November.

It’s just one poll.

Biden +11. Folks who aren’t Trumpers detest the man.

Linn and Johnson are the two bluest counties in the state. Lots of people were already activated, with regard to voting and political activism. I hope that independent voters in Iowa see this GOP move as an attack on democracy, and that other blue-tinged counties in Iowa file an amicus on behalf of the defendant counties.

Fighting spirit energizes people.

Fighting against a corrupt blob should do it for most folks.

Thanks for the Heads Up.

I still fear the worst, but one glimmer of hope is that, as average people grow increasingly anxious about the future, casting a vote is a solid, easily-understood way to express their feelings.

And if the feelings of outrage against the Trump government continue to grow, I think the Biden team has a much easier time galvanizing a response to the real failures of Trump than the Trump team has winding people up about the hypothetical (also ludicrous and incoherent) dangers of a career centrist like Biden.

Some GOP officials have been moving polling places completely out of the city limits to suppress the vote, usually in areas where there is little or no public transportation. Be sure of your November 3rd polling place.

Be sure you have ENOUGH polling places. Some precints have only one polling place for thusands of voters. We’ve all seen the lines stretching for blocks. Work to get more. Demand porta-potties in places where folks line up like this. And try to get mask/hand sanitizer stations operating at the polls on Election Day.

If you know of single or unemployed parents see if you can organize an “Election Day-care” for those who need that to go vote.

Be sure you even CAN vote in person. Some states have been purging voters who are inactive. Be sure your name wasn’t purged from the rolls.

Help your neighbors vote. Some backwards counties require photo ID, even though there may not be a place or even a process to get one. Help your neighbors register and vote. Organize car pools for Election Day. Tell Uber and Lyft they need to offer free rides to polling places.

Volunteer to be a poll watcher. The GOP has been watching like hawks for years. Democrats need to do the same.

It may be too late but try to make Election Day a holiday in your state.

Wear a mask, wash your hands and safe-distance. If we follow the science there probably will be more of us around to vote November 3rd!

The notion that Georgia and Texas are battleground states this November is heartening. (And valid, given the polls we’ve been seeing. I’d still be astonished to see Texas flip blue for Biden, and Georgia will be a stretch as well with Kemp in the governor’s seat. But even making DT have to fight for these states is a good sign.)

Go Zoe go!! Now go after the bastard whose dismantling the USPS. Haul his ass before your committee ASAP and make him answer questions under oath. Interfering with mail delivery is a federal offense and he must be made to answer for it.

A South Carolina Democrat has flipped a state House seat in a special election, stirring excitement in the party as the November general election approaches.

Spencer Wetmore handily defeated Republican candidate Josh Stokes by 20 points in Tuesday’s election, according to The Associated Press. The seat was long held by Republicans and became a target for Democrats after former state Rep. Peter McCoy resigned earlier this year to become South Carolina’s U.S. attorney.

With Wetmore’s win, Democrats now have 45 seats in South Carolina’s 124-person lower chamber.

“By flipping this seat from red to blue, Spencer is giving Democrats more power in the chamber’s policymaking process,” Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee President Jessica Post said in a statement. “Her win sends a clear message to Republicans that Democrats have momentum going into the final stretch of the 2020 cycle.”

Another possible flip.

Flipping R held House and statehouse seats in the most unlikely places is exactly what happened in 2018. We’d wised up over the previous two years, now it’s been four. We will continue to stay woke. As one of the many possible successors to Kamala Harris said, and that would be Barbara Lee of Oakland,

we will only succeed if we reject the growing pressure to retreat into cynicism and hopelessness. … We have a moral obligation to “stay woke,” take a stand and be active; challenging injustices and racism in our communities and fighting hatred and discrimination wherever it rises.

Public polls aren’t that great, either.

Both the Senate race and the Presidential are neck and neck in Iowa, and have been for about 2 months now…with Greenfield mostly showing a very small but persistent lead.

But this is part of a broader pan. They are going to do everything they can think of to disrupt this elections. In true Trump fashion, that means launching a boatload of frivolous lawsuits.
