Dems Demand TSA Crack Down On ‘Repeat Offenders’ With Guns At Airports After Cawthorn Incidents

Democratic leaders of the House Homeland Security Committee are demanding answers after Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) was caught carrying a loaded gun at an airport security checkpoint earlier this week for the second time.

So its normal procedure to not do much of anything about someone trying to being firearms onto a plane?

If Maddie was a black Democratic politician I think we’d have seen a much different response. I am increasingly concerned about rightwing politics within law enforcement and the military.

To top it all off, he’ll probably be fined — which will be immediately suspended — and given the weapon back.

Gunz on planez has been a no-no since all of those hijackings back in the 60’s and 70’s. Post-9/11 it’s hard to imagine that anyone who is sufficiently functional to get to an airport is unaware of how out of bounds such a thing is.

It this isn’t grounds for arrest, it damned well should be.

Unless of course you have a black beard, then even if you are not armed you will be harassed by TSA, probably executed in the spot if you have a gun. That is about the only benefit of my beard turning gray, I don’t have to shave to board an airplane.

I’m certain that this sort of thing has happened before, it would be interesting to see a comparison of the outcomes between him and the hoi polloi.
Shouldn’t he be on the no-fly list by now?

Only if he got “uppity.”

Why does this even fall to the Democrats? Applying the law shouldn’t be something that one political party has to monitor, or plead for. When the law-breakers are Cawthorn-looking, we have to beg for enforcement. Repubs know they have nothing to fear - witness the smirk on Perjury T. Greene swearing she remembers nothing about anything.

What, exactly, do you mean by “do?”

Yes, it is, due to the sheer volume of ammosexuals who habitually have a gun in their day bag.

Cawthorn is a dumb-ass jerk but Democrats on the Homeland Security Committee don’t need to troll his stupid stunts even if done intentionally.

Why would Mr. White Priveledge not inform TSA ahead of time when he wants to pack heat on an airplane? I don’t rule out some type of early-onset senility.

The next time this happens, roll him to security and inform Kevin McCarthy or his parents they need to pick him up, at their convenience, of course.

As a youth I remember flying in the pre sky jacking era. Just show up to the gate with your ticket and you were good to go. In 71 after a spat of them and of course the infamous D.B Cooper caper they implemented the security procedures.

To me I want to know does TSA, or the local PD check to see if a person had done this at another airport? I’m going to assume that if this happened twice at the same airport there would be some sort of record, but since Cawthorn wasn’t fined, wasn’t arrested, but only cited does that info get shared nation wide?
