Trump will then declare that a Congressional shutdown is a national emergency giving him the excuse he wants to declare martial law. Congressional Republicans and SCOTUS will back him on this decision, of course. Sigh.
I can just imagine his speech right now:
A government shutdown is an unprecedented act that has never before happened in the entire history of the US! This lawless act of Congress has forced me to declare Martial Law!
He’ll then trail off on some crazy tangent about how wind turbines and solar panels cause sharknados, or something to that effect.

Welp, that’s the end of what’s left of the US government. Once shutdown it’ll never come back.
TSF will designate anyone he wants to keep as “essential” and tell everyone else to f off, millions will have to work without pay.
The only “good” thing is the military won’t be getting paid, either, so are less likely to be his goon squad - though of course they’ll blame Biden.
Wonder how long it will take the air traffic controllers to take a sick out - that’s the only thing that might end a shutdown.
Unfortunately there’s no better option - absolutely no point in passing any sort of budget as TSF will just ignore it and steal all the money.

We play on Trump’s obvious mortality. Trump won’t be alive forever and those who complied with his illegal and unconstitutional order will be outed, hounded and prosecuted for their rest of their lives.
We just need to make these cowards fear us more than they fear Trump, whose mortality is rapidly approaching.

His ICE gestapo goons won’t be willing to work forever without pay. And while he can technically force soldiers to work without pay, morale will plummet. You’d likely see the largest ‘work-to-rule’ effort in military history, where they only do what is ordered exactly as ordered only as long as ordered. Fascist regimes don’t survive if they don’t keep the power centers (such as a military and police) happy.

Folks are assuming a shutdown will be like it should be—everything stopping. But this bunch has prolly worked out a way to keep paying goons. I think there will be some surprises, none of them good, if it happens.

Amongst my criticisms of the major media is that they keep saying “Trump is doing x and Trump is doing y”. They haven’t adjusted or even publicized that he’s handed off the government to all of these fringe weirdos. He signs off on everything as long as they praise him and he gets his piece.
This is a great example. Trump will sign off and sell anything as long as Vought stays loyal. He doesn’t understand nor care what it is. They’re all so far past the event horizon that nothing can phase him.

If those GOP assholes shut down the government after Sept 30 (which I actually kind of doubt), it will blow back against them, as it has done every time against them before (which is why I kind of doubt they’ll do it).

I imagine the death of Trump playing out much the way the death of Stalin played out except that, unlike Stalin, Trump won’t have had nearly as much time to purge all of his enemies from the country. The backlash will then be far more swift and severe.
