I hope so. THere’s a school board election here with one candidate running on transphobia, to join another Nazi already on the board. These people are horrible.

Transphobia is one of the most degenerative conditions that can befall someone. A person could just be a run-of-the-mill jerk, but start feeding them the transphobia and they’ll transform into an absolute freak show in a matter of months. Violent outbursts, paranoid accusations, martyr complex, social withdrawal, even basic conversations reduced to layers of coded in-group speak.
The one thing that gives me hope is that more and more normies seem to be waking up to the reality that transphobes are deeply unwell and should not be listened to.

Someone on Fox posed the question as a gotcha. Obama endorsed Harris, so why not Sears-Earl? They concluded that it was because Obama was racist.

There’s an emerging moral panic about asexual people, hilariously. It coincides neatly with the MAHA obsession over white birth rates and young men’s sperm counts. Imagine worrying about someone who has no ulterior motives when they compliment your clothes or invite you to go see a movie with them, especially when the federal government is being led by so many unrepentant sex pests and predators.

But I will have to say that her concession speech showed a grace that she had not shown during the campaign. One of the radio commentators I heard last night said, “Where was that Wimsome Earl-Sears on the campaign trail?” My thoughts exactly. I think she was still hoping Trump might give her an endorsement and was trying to walk a very narrow line. She never got the endorsement, and it meant that she never said much in the way of positive policy positions, either.
Not that an endorsement would have done her much good. Jason Miyares, the Republican incumbent AG, got Trump’s endorsement, but VA voters voted him out of office anyway, in spite of the Democratic candidate’s negative baggage. That was the pleasant surprise that I got last night.
