Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) announced on Wednesday night that he would be introducing a resolution to have Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) expelled from the House following revelations that the Republican had endorsed Facebook comments calling for violence against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and former President Barack Obama.
So pretty much all of them?
NPR this morning, commentator made a cogent remark. Said it’s telling that GOP leadership is currently giving Liz Cheney a hard time and the cold shoulder, while Ms. Greene is pretty much being left alone.
Sad and pathetic. Although not unexpected.
Wow it’s not just politics and science where facts have a liberal bias, economics too!. Who da thunk it?
What’s really strange is that the WSJ wouldn’t want to push the ideas that did the best for everyone and not just the top 1%. Because then there’d probably be fewer ups and downs for everyone, they’d still have, many times over, more money then they could ever spend in a life time. And there’d be less threat of crime and maybe even war. How much fucking money do some folks need? I just don’t get it. I just don’t fucking get it.
If any ordinary citizen had made the threats MTG did, they’d be in a much different situation.

Agreed. But Congressional GOP, almost by definition, believes that “ordinary citizen” rules don’t apply to them. See: Cruz, Ted; Hawley, Josh; Paul, Rand.

What is surprising is that she hasn’t been put in time out by the GOP leadership in the House. Steve King lost his committee assignment and was subsequently primaried. Greene was just given a committee assignment! And certainly you don’t give her the podium to raise money against other Republicans. McCarthy is out of control, which is pretty astonishing for a guy that typically does so little.

Shame on Republicans! Every single one of them is irresponsible.
The Republican Party needs to abandon their strategy of breaking government, while campaigning they could fix things if only they had more power. You have power enough. Do the damn job!

Her excuse is that “others” have managed her Facebook page and she presumably isn’t responsible but she also doesn’t retract the statements. What a load of BS. If she does get expelled, she will probably get re-elected in the election to fill the seat, at which point the House will refuse to seat her. The majority of people in that district are that stupid and don’t deserve representation.
And those who have actually been paying attention.
