“What are you accusing me of?” the postmaster general added.

If you didn’t already know (HA!) you soon will.

Lie down with dogs (Donnie and company) and you wake up with fleas (felonies).

It’s awkward having to disavow his sole qualification for the job.

I was wondering why Trump was so open to an investigation. Was nothing in it for him.

Perhaps we misheard DeJoy’s testimony.

Perhaps he actually said —

“That’s an outrageous claim, sir, and I resemble it,” DeJoy told Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN)

Unless there are state charges, trump will certainly “pardon” him.

Why did this jackass put himself into a position where his prior illegal actions would come to light? This happens again and again in the Trump misadministration. Most of these people are filthy rich and they could have quietly lived out their pathetic vicious lives with no consequences.

The answer to your question is what a former FBI agent told me: “crooks never stop being crooks; they’ll keep stealing until the second you put the cuffs on them.”

DeJoy was obviously crooked in private life, and his vanity was tickled by the thought of being an even bigger and more brazen thief in public life.

“That’s an outrageous claim, sir, and I resent it,” DeJoy told Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN), who had pressed him on the issue. “The answer is no… I’m fully aware of legal campaign contributions, and I resent the assertion, sir.”

“What are you accusing me of?” the postmaster general added.

I suspect you’re about to find out in spades. I am sure any subpoenas in the future will be ignored, thanks to the stacked-against-democracy court system we now have. I’m hoping, under the Biden administration, at least some of these confirmations can be reversed.

This is of course worthy of investigation and perhaps a way to gain leverage over him prior to the election, but the biggest scandal by far is his deliberate manipulation of the USPS to help Trump steal the election. I’m not sure that Trump can pardon his way out of that if it can be established that such pardons were offered, implied or given for corrupt reasons.

In the future, though, the pardon power has to either be repealed, or curtailed so no president can pardon anyone they know or have associations with.

Because he thought he could get away with it. He thought he could fly under the radar because there was so much OTHER chicanery going on. He thought he could do it because he’s a Republican - they get away with anything.

Under the bus you go!

Trump’s famous “loyalty” in action.

People like this have an insatiable appetite for validation of their perception of superiority an privilege. …doing illegal stuff … and getting away with it reassures them that they are special -sort of like royalty… the are exempt from rules …rules & laws don’t apply to them.

Just reflecting that if it was a Dem Administration we would not even be having this discussion
He would have been gone after the first transgression , as opposed to Republicans who seem to reward and cherish such gregarious behavior

Trump is happy to have the focus on someone else. So he will support the investigation of his minions all day long.

What he really wanted to know is exactly who ratted him out and exactly how detailed they ratted it.

Guess he knows now. Bet he’s losing a lot of sleep over it.

Good.

I’m fairly sure that contributions while he owned New Breed would not have been for Donald Trump since he sold that in 2014. The question needed to be for all GOP donors, I think, to work.
