Dem Chair In Iowa 2 Case Calls Out GOP’s ‘Coordinated Public Campaign’ To Smear Process

This was a majority R (W and Trump judges) decision. They did a TON of historical research to back their assertion. Wondering how Rapey McBeerface and Amy Covid decide to rewrite history this time.

The current reactionary party seems almost too willing to seed intractable differences in this country.
I could almost think they were working in the interest in some obscured foreign power.

Yes.

There is no right to carry arms openly in public; nor is any such right within the scope of the Second Amendment,” U.S. Circuit Judge Jay Bybee, a George W. Bush appointee, wrote for the majority of an 11-judge panel in a 127-page opinion.

Well they can’t have people understanding that their whole schtick is suppressing legit votes can they?

For anyone who watched Maddow last night, her story on Gupta and that crazily racist Texas case from ~20 years ago was interesting and highlighted well why Gupta is qualified, but my guess is this is the real reason Cornyn and Co. are so gung ho on her nomination. No principle, nothing personal, just money and power.

Can someone please inform Boebert the Boob about this fact?

It would help if the GOP would stop saying the quiet parts OUT LOUD.

Lofgren named House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) specifically as displaying a willful ignorance

I think Lofgren will find upon a closer look that the GOP male’s glorious spring plumage offers many types of ignorance, from willful to innate.

Calling out GOP propaganda is not enough. As Josh points out today, policy is not politics. These GOP lies must be countered with propaganda of equal weight tp expose the lies and the liars. Nothing noble in just sitting there and taking it. For too many years it’s been “hit me again, sir, harder” for the Dems.

She’s just excellent.

Worth fighting for – as much as she has fought for others.

Republican mythology serves two purposes, one for attack, the other for defense. It does not matter whether facts agree with that myth although that can be useful, what matters is that it serve both to strike at an opponent and reinforce devotion to the myth whether the opponent resists or not although, again, that resistance can be useful.

One of my favorite public intellectuals longshoremen.

Do you read him as saying that “moderates” ipso facto cannot be passionate about their ideas?

Their mythology is misdirection, a common tool of almost every thief.

Here’s a thought: shouldn’t Biden have his own off-budget team of leg breakers and smearers? If Republicans lie about Biden about this, that, and the other, should we not have our own team who can counterpunch by digging up dirt on the intended targets? I imagine there is a lot of dirt out there, right out in the open. Is it not time for some Spring cleaning?

Just imagine if our general news feeds had about 4 or 5 more headlines like this each day. Regardless of their final outcome, that itself could do a lot to change the toxic atmosphere we’re suffering from. And I’m not talking just Covid neither.

Just bring in a crane barge and an empty ship and unload the sucker already.
