DeJoy is rapidly moving up the ladder (mine) from sixth to fifth most disgusting Trumper.

Number One (Moscow McConnell) is fixed and will not change.

First on their 10-year plan should have been a demand an end the 75-year pension requirements designed by Repubs to screw USPS and help private carriers.

Instead they plan to reduce productivity and raise prices.
American exceptionalism?

I receive a number of my prescriptions by mail. Every single time one is sent, a warning pops up that due to delivery delays, it may take an additional 2-4 days to receive my prescription. Bad enough if it was First Class, but they send it Priority. And it travels less than 30 miles. (They know this is happening, but because insurance companies limit refills to 1 per 30/90 days depending on the med, they can’t send it 4 days early)

That is actually part of the plan.

I heartily agree about Bill Gates, and wish he were still everyone’s idea of a villain. From those days:

I’m having a hard time imagining DeJoy turning out to be a force for good in twenty years.

Seems to me that First Class Mail was being delivered in a very timely manner before this fucktard intentionally slowed shit down by slashing overtime and ordering the dismantling of sorting machines in an election year that saw millions voting by mail because of the pandemic. Also did this greed head ever legally and fully remove himself from his prior delivery business. Will that company be getting the courier business companies will be forced to use in order to continue to get their first class mail to associates and customers? And that warning to not slow down implementation of DeJoy’s plan or the mail will get slower? A bit extortionist doncha think?

So let me see - inaugurated January 20th, which was two months and three days ago. During that time he has fixed the vaccine orders shortfall, fixed the vaccine distribution fuckups, passed the COVID relief bill, relief checks have been deposited in millions of accounts, all his cabinet nominees are now approved and in place, his administration has taken action to get unaccompanied minors out of border cells, he has nominated the required USPS board members needed to address the DeJoy problem and they are now working to get a Voting Right bill through Congress despite massive obstruction by the Republicans.

So yeah, he’s had 62 days! Why the hell hasn’t he completed all the stuff you personally prioritize higher than keeping people alive and safe and repairing the massive damage to our democracy? The nerve of some people!

Some things you just have to fund and pay for if you want service. Dems know this. We know this. Dejoy knows this too, but he also knows that if he avoids the hook long enough maybe he can help put a boss more like Putin in charge, then it’s the fast road to moneytown.

Fucking Sleepy Joe.

Just checked my parking lot, still no fucking pony.

Part of the mail slow down was DeJoy, and part of it was increased demand for shipping those things we bought on the internet.

I love how DeJoy would say it would take 7 days now for a first class piece of mail to go from the East Coast to the West, so why in Dec. did it take almost 15 days to go from STL to ATL? That’s a distance of 567 miles and almost 9 hours by road?
As a rule I always mail my checks out 7 days in advance, whether local or half way across the country. Everything is half way across the country from STL.

So you’ve given up on the taco truck on every corner?

Meh. I’m in the greater D.C. area.

There already is a taco truck on every corner.

Since most of them are out of positions of power, he still has a chance to move up.

Well, perhaps the investments of the board chairman should be examined to see if they include some of the Post Office competitors that DeJoy is invested in.

The torpor of the Legal System skews everything in the Post Trump Presidency Era.

EVERYTHING

That has an impact not only on Trump’s behavior but also the entire Republican Party and this cannot be emphasized enough.

If Trump were prosecuted with the alacrity with which a $50,000/yr person would be prosecuted, we would have a completely different political landscape and the upshot of this to me is:

The Republican Party is the biggest collection of thoughtless, empty, cruel and sadistic men I have ever seen under one political roof in my days on this earth.
