Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin found himself in a heated clash with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) after the GOP congressman rehashed right-wing grievances accusing the military of being more focused on “wokeism” instead of defense during a House Armed Services hearing on Tuesday.
“We respect their academic independence.”

I do not condone violence. But I wish the good SecDef would have gone Will Smith on that pansy. He never served, would

Gaetz maybe should take a look at his constituency. Bad mouthing the military may not be in his best interest. Also, lock him up already!

Noticing that institutions that the right used to fetishize like big business and the military are now their targets…unless they are on board with the culture war they are the enemy. Hard to figure how this will turn out.

Gaetz deserves an epic crash and burn. One for the history books. He doesn’t really understand the lines he is crossing. He thinks he does, but he really doesn’t.
