Defense Secretary Calls Turmoil On America’s Streets A ‘Battle Space’ To ‘Dominate’

Defense Secretary Mark Esper described American streets, which have become the site of protests and riots over the death of unarmed black man George Floyd, as a “battle space” to “dominate” in a call on Monday.

“Right normal”? WTF Such a foolish attempt would insure that we never get back to any kind of normal.

“I think the sooner that you mass and dominate the battle space, the quicker this dissipates and we can get back to the right normal,”

This ranks up there with “human capital stock” as dehumanizing CEO speak of the year. This guy is another sociopath. Dastardly!

No, it’w worse than that. It’s saying we need to go back to having cops killing blacks. That’s his right normal.

A fine illustration of why the military should have no role in domestic law enforcment.

Moron’s going after the Enemies of the People, journalists from everywhere including from his supportive WSJ

Reporters and news photographers say they are being roughed up by the police, shot with projectiles and arrested while covering demonstrations against racism and police brutality across the country. The U.S. Press Freedom Tracker and a writer for the Bellingcat website have each tracked about 100 instances of reporters being harassed or injured at the protests.

In interviews, reporters said they had identified themselves as members of the press before police drew their weapons or pepper-sprayed them.

Tyler Blint-Welsh, a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, said he was hit multiple times by police officers while covering a protest in New York on Sunday. “I was backing away as request, with my hands up,” Mr. Blint-Welsh, who is black, wrote on Twitter. “My NYPD-issued press badge was clearly visible.”

Moron’s end game is destroying the First Amendment:

The arrest of journalists covering demonstrations and riots is common in autocratic countries, but has been rare in the United States, where freedom of the press is protected by the First Amendment.

Generally I try to confine my cursing to obscenity and vulgarity, but these people are pushing me into profanity. Are there no limits to the desire to get Bunker Boy’s approval?
They have stopped using metaphorical language to describe this conflict and are now actively encouraging actual combat. They can’t wait to start an assault on the people who are making Trump look bad.

We’re in a worse leadership void than I thought. What’s more empty than a hard vacuum?

Even worse, I fear. I’m afraid that we may be learning that the cognitively functioning members of the Trump administration are revealing that they have no intention of getting back to any kind of normal. Think “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.” That was originally General Sheridan, who killed thousands of real native Americans. In Vietnam, “the only good communist is a dead communist” licensed the massacre of hundreds of thousands. For the right, this is all muscle memory. They’re now applying this language broadly to their political enemies. Put another way, it’s as if they’re saying, “Hi, I’m a white supremacist, and if you’re not a Republican MAGA-head, you might as well be black.” I fear that we’re going to have to find out what a lot of ordinary soldiers up and down the ranks will do when given illegal orders, and what a lot of judges around the country will do when the police and military demand that their criminal behavior be licensed by the courts.

But yeah the military is out there protecting my freedom. If it wasn’t for them we would be governed by nazis and fascists…

The country’s actual leaders were on the phone with the Black Hole of Leadership.

Governors, mayors - they are leading. They led in the COVID crisis, which is ongoing, and they lead in this current situation.
