It’s not too much of a stretch to see this as a “weapons of mass destruction” take off, in which the Orange Asshole mobilizes the military against a dubious threat and declares martial law. The sooner Trump is dangling from a lamp post the better. Pathetic!

Tend to agree. The thing is, are these people going to be anymore competent in a cover up attempt than they will be in a coup. The only thing they have to play with are two skills. Creating confusion and simply saying no. This period of time is a long, wailing refusal by Trump and the GOP to eat their strained peas. What surprises me is how bad Barr and Pompeo are. The moment anyone competent and honest have the keys it all comes tumbling down. Sure, they are racing to hide their mess. Considering how pompous and mean spirited they have been, how many files have been copied or moved to a desk drawer until they can be brought out in the daylight by the dedicated personnel who actually believe in what they are doing? I would be. Definitely would be.
And while I am entertaining my conspiratorial side, I keep wondering about this entire election fraud drama. Why haven’t the Republicans questioned the vote count as a whole, versus the mail in ballots? If there is a chance of mischief, why not include electronic voting as well. We have a variety of systems, some not as secure as others. I am still stuck in 2016 on that odd change of fortunes. So why not the Republicans this round?

There is not always a correlation between academic excellence and common sense or emotional intelligence… I have a PhD sister who proves that every day.
Remember Donnie T was lauded at his “military school” because he was a bigger bully than anyone else.
And yes, it does say a lot about West point and the school Donnie went to.

I have to think the professionals have the receipts. I just can’t see these doofuses doing much effective covering up against them. We live in an age of easily copyable stuff. Hell, they probably have a copy of everything Trump has ever said on his phone or in his office, and so do five or six other friendly intelligence services overseas.
