Despite Sen. David Perdue’s (R-GA) rejection of an offer to debate his Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff ahead of the Georgia runoff election that could help determine the balance of the Senate, the host of the scheduled debate, the Atlanta Press Club, will move forward with it.
That’s a great point from Perdue.
He should show up to the next debate just so he can tell off Ossoff to his face.
So … will the podium still get half of the time?
It takes a tender chicken to avoid a debate with a tough man.
Run and hide. Keep betting on the party inertia.
Statement from the Perdue campaign:
“…And on my right - putting the case against the Government - is a small patch of brown liquid…which could be creosote or some extract used in industrial varnishing.”
If Perdue does show up it’s still purty much an empty podium.
The empty podium will do better than Perdue would.
Ossoff should check with a pro on how to proceed at the debate. Don’t pile on…just spell out what you want your voters to know.
“…Sen. Perdue will be represented by an empty podium…except for the presence of a large, green iguana.”
Be hard pressed to tell the difference
