I have difficulty finding words to express my sadness and the shame that I feel.

I was not into Star Wars much after the first three movies, but this scene from Episode III is chilling. And it is exactly Steven Miller.

“I killed them. I killed them all. They’re dead, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children, too. They’re like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals. I HATE THEM.”

When the United States abandons its concern and generosity for the vulnerable, i.e. its soft power, the vacuum becomes filled by authoritarian regimes. Shame on the Trump administration!!

If you can’t make us “great,” I guess you just make everything so horrifying elsewhere we look a little better by comparison. I hope I live to see decency make even a slight comeback.

I heard Musk give a pouty interview where he complained bitterly about vandalism of cars, whining that he hadn’t hurt anyone. He has blood on his hands. He deserves the kind of vengeance that his side believes in. They all are monsters, and should be removed from civilized society. With extreme prejudice.

Every Trump voter is guilty of complicity in crimes against humanity. This is not hard. And I don’t give a flying fuck if I “alienate” these voters. They don’t deserve “wooing”. They deserve to lose the franchise, because as Lincoln noted (not my words, his), “Those who would deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves”. I think he’d feel the same if we were to replace “freedom” with “life”.

Fuckers.

These people are evil. The funding cuts they implemented, that are already causing people’s deaths and will cause far more, are practically pocket change within the U.S. budget.

But we can afford a trillion dollars for the military. Which makes a perverse sense, given what Gen. Mattis said about needing more ammunition if programs like these are discontinued.

But it’s all A-OK with their “pro-life” supporters.

While the MAGA voters may indicate that this is not the US problem, one has to wonder if that will be the same response when SNAP funding is reduced in the US and caloric intake will be reduced to starvation levels

The Trump mantra is ‘waste, fraud and abuse’ with no evidence that it ‘exists’ or is REALLY REALLY BAD that Musk, Trump and the minions touted. They wear their giant crosses and insist dammit that they are the good ones while people starve and are hurt. It will take much longer than a different administration to get our reputation back.

Death, sexual violence and human trafficking makes you a #1 pick in the Trump cabinet and 77 million voters will back them up.

I’m challenged to make sense of how you go from

to, “I haven’t hurt anyone.”
There seems to be some dissonance between the two messages.

I gotta wonder how that works when this is their mission statement:
“We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected,” Vought said in a video revealed by ProPublica and the research group Documented in October. “When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work, because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down … We want to put them in trauma.” (Russell Vought: Trump appointee who wants federal workers to be ‘in trauma’ | Trump administration | The Guardian )

I have less difficulty finding words to express my anger at those who deliberately, callously, and maliciously did these things. These words are not very polite.

Such a heartbreaking situation. And none of it had to happen. The malefactors in our government are all like Scrooge before his visits from the Ghosts–“let them decrease the surplus population” indeed. Monsters.

Rubio is a monster too!

Not only is he responsible for cutting off food and medical aid but denying visas as well.

And " their eating the cats and dogs" JD also.

Both these guys had the gall to get an audience with the pope. Supposedly good Catholics. My god! They should be excommunicated.

This certainly puts the lie to the claim from Trump that he’s going to restore peace and civility to the world, or words to that effect. No actions taken by his administration support that. Editorial writers should employ scare quotes for these claims.
