Long drop from that window in the sky.
I have read that Putin won’t get in a plane as he fears that same fate Prigozhin met. And I am surprised that Prigozhin was that careless.

My neighbor’s cat…

It wasn’t murder. Prigozhin was simply accident prone. As most of Putin’s critics have proven to be.

Except for one critic who was gunned down while walking on a bridge across a river within sight of the Kremlin.

No, no, that guy accidentally walked in front of a bunch of flying bullets. Could happen to anyone. Nothing to see there.

Hereabouts Prigozhin’s mourning period lasted less than one wave of a hummingbird’s wing.

He was certainly not a nice guy…even by Russian standards.

Just a guess, but I think this will hasten Putin’s end. The next mutineers will not stop until he is dead. And clearly Putin does not have the ability to stop a mutiny from happening in a situation where mutiny may well be the most logical choice.

Everything about the ending of the drive on Moscow coup attempt was strange. Would Prigozhin be so unaware that he thought he was safe? Or was this staged and Prigozhin has now departed with some of Vlad’s millions with the promise that he won’t complete the overthrow?

I’m calling it hyperdefenestration.

The drive toward Moscow by Wagner met next to no resistance from anyone. Not civilians and not the actual Russian military. Now, there may have been a pitched battle in Moscow but Wagner certainly had firepower at their command. In that situation one goes for broke because as we see the half measure gets one killed.

Reminds me of:

That which is so dense and secretive as to be totally indecipherable or impossible to foretell. It is from a line used by Winston Churchill to describe the intentions and interests of Russia in 1939: "I cannot forecast to you the action of Russia. It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Russian national interest."

…but now it’s a dumpster fire wrapped in train wreck inside a shit storm and the key is Putin’s personal interest.

Let’s face it, Russian oligarchs dying is good news, regardless of if they are dangerous or not. To paraphrase: “The only good oligarch is a dead oligarch.”

WaR: Alternative scenario (akin to alternative facts.) Putin studied judo. Judo teaches one to use the opponent’s strength against him. Putin worries that Prigozhin is getting too popular and powerful. Progozhin is fighting against MOD. He never intends a mutiny but rather a March on Moscow for a Redress of Grievances. Putin encourages him saying he can’t appear to turn on MOD but Prigozhin can force his hand and anyway the March will be useful because it will show who is loyal to Putin and who isn’t. When Putin doesn’t fire the generals Prigozhin begins to make increasingly frantic attempts to talk to Putin directly. He can’t go to Moscow because he has no plans as to what he could do there since he never intended to go there in the first place. Prigozhin sees Lukaschenko’s intervention as possible salvation. Putin can now tranquility off Progozhin since everyone – including Wagner-- will understand why he must do so.

OT:

CNN says unethical behavior is typical for Fox News:

Also it’s funny that while Fox parent is apologizing, its affiliates are still running the original story.
