Definite variations. Blacks make up 45% of DC, about 20% of NYC, for example. DC is also 90% Dem, so you have a twofer when bringing in white supremacist cops.
I think it’s safe to assume a very significant percentage of a great many police departments are rife with clandestine members of antigovernment militias and white supremacist organizations.
wanna bet he was in the military? Many of them leave the military, often with less than honorable discharges, and find a home in a local PD. Guns, kevlar armor, fast cars with flashy lights, tasers, bully clubs, handcuffs, and knees for blocking air passages. What fun!

Our 2 decades in the Middle East produced many thousands of vets needing jobs. We think a lot of them ended up on police forces. Military training is the polar opposite of what we except of police. To boil it down: kill or protect and serve.
