There have been two “Stop the Steal” rallies in Washington, D.C. since President Donald Trump’s loss to Joe Biden. But this time, for Wednesday’s effort to prevent the certification of Biden’s victory, they’re bringing out the big guns.

Why provoke us locals? The federal government is a small part of the citizenry. Most people who work in government live in the burbs.

Why does the GOP like to threaten or murder Americans?
If no one shows up to oppose them, they’ll attack regular people they don’t like the look of.
On the positive side, by showing up and being loud non-mask wearing dimwits, everyone of them is going to get logged into a facial recognition database by the FBI and the Secret Service, so maybe they’re doing us a favor in the long run.
Is there any incantation that will accurately split open the Earth and swallow these miscreants whole?
The Oath Keepers have put up a public letter demanding that Trump invoke the insurrection act and declare martial law, (while definitely not calling it martial law) and to allow the ‘militias’ to arrest most Democratic politicians in congress and the supreme court. They then go on to demand all new elections for every seat in the country (even to the local level) and for those election to be run by the militias and the military.
I also listened to a ‘Prepper/survivalist/evangelical podcast’ this weekend (don’t judge my hobbies) that called for the arrest of all democratic politicians down to the local level, and anyone who financially supports them to be arrested and placed in Guantanamo and for all the Democratic voters to be told if we continue to try to vote for “Chinese communist democrats" that you we’ll go in the camp too. Not sure if these people understand the size of Guantanamo or the math of holding that many people there, but they where too busy being pissed off other people not exactly like them exist.
Then they’ll get carted to 4th n 5th Districts, before heading to the courthouse (downtown) lockup.
