OK, thanks. I did try searching on Twitter and didn’t turn up anything initially. Again, not doubting your report at all! Just interested in the fuller context of which these statements were made. Per Josh’s remark the other day I, too, am trying to avoid letting any heady sense of triumphalism affect my attempts to ascertain how the war is going, much as I want to believe—and shout!—that Ukraine is going to “win” the war, albeit at a tremendous cost. (And if/when Russia is repelled, NATO countries need to help Ukraine rebuild immediately.)

He jokes constantly in his public appearances. A Trump rally is basically a Gallagher show, just with more fascism and fewer watermelons. If he got a big reaction out of smashing a watermelon, it would become a regular feature.
