Former Seminole County tax collector Joel Greenberg is expected to share with investigators the identity of an escort who attended a GOP fundraiser with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) in 2019 as one of more than a dozen young women Gaetz paid for sex, the Daily Beast reported on Friday night.

I guess the only thing for us to fear, is that everything coming out from the Daily Beast is from them alone, and is uncorroborated with any other media outlet.
Hopefully, all the stuff about Gaetz isn’t just PSYOPs, designed to make Matt look good. The only corroboration we have is on Greenberg’s activities/crimes.

The Daily Beast identified the woman as Megan Zalonka and described her as an amateur Instagram model.
Small quibble, but she sounds more like a professional to me. Isn’t that what getting paid for “services” rendered usually means? Or are we using the old Soviet Union Olympic team definition?
Gaetz has repeatedly denied all allegations of wrongdoing, including allegations that he paid women for sex.
I’m a bit surprised he hasn’t leaned into the allegations ala Trump at this point. “Yeah, I paid for sex because I’m rich! Whoo! And I didn’t know they were underage.” Maybe that’s still coming.
According to the Daily Beast, he wrote off the stay at the hotel as a campaign expense.
Now we’re getting somewhere. Stealing from your campaign fund is old-fashioned crimin, and doesn’t need a jury to believe greenberg.

Here we go…it was only a matter of time before more details started to come out on this, and we’ll get more going forward. The tabloid press is going to jump all over this simply to be the first to take down a Congress member, and at least a few people will probably come out and tell their story. It’s also possible someone released this to put some pressure on Gaetz, and the guy really should be starting to feel it.

I know that in this progressive era, we shouldn’t make fun of people’s names. But does anyone else like me think “Megan Zalonka” is a name that wouldn’t be out of place in an Austin Powers movie? Just needs a better first name.

Gaetz is a troll and a creep but frankly, I think Greenberg is the bigger story. This guy runs as a clean up the swamp type and then (big shock) proceeds to flagrantly abuse his office. I’m going to bet he’s not the only one like this out there lurking at the state and local level.

Another interesting connection. Pirozzolo is the Orlando area hand surgeon who organized a sleazy trip to the Bahamas for Gaetz and company. And Zalonka happens to be the Director of Communications for that organization. Not sure what it means yet, but the connection is there.
