D’Esposito Warns New York GOP Won’t Support Santos If He Makes ‘Foolish Decision To Run And Lose In 2024’

Hopefully the NY Democratic Party will get their shit together (at least in relative terms) and run good candidates and spearhead taking back the House in 2024.

Even if he ran with their glowing endorsement he’d lose.

Yeah, like if Santos gives a fornication of what D’Esposito or anyone else thinks.

This guy D’Esposito is fearless, truthful and understands the truth about the joke who is Santos. Too bad Kev and his bros won’t see the truth because these Quislings need his vote.

Of course Santos won’t resign, he’s having too much fun playing at being a politician. So we have to sit out the games til '24.

"in supporting his primary opponent should he make the foolish decision to run and lose in 2024,”

Performative distancing, because santos isn’t going to be the GOP nominee. It is unlikely he can even raise enough money to run in the GOP primary, unless Intrater wants to write him a really big check.

But someone should ask Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY), if Santos does become the GOP nominee, will D’Esposito support the Democratic nominee?

Jeepers, one might conclude that the whole Republican party is a damned, hot mess. Call me crazy, call me foolish, but that’s what I think! Calling them deplorable doesn’t go far enough.

It’s a legacy party clinging to continued white minority rule by whatever means available. They’ve pushed the populism and fascism buttons too many times in recent years, thus the bind they find themselves in.

Santos appears to have been running and/or participating in multiple financial fraud schemes since he was a teenager and while it would nice to think this latest fraud could deliver him just deserts I’m not holding my breath.

As for D’Esposito, hell, he’s a Republican and that means nearly every day is Festivus no matter what else is going on.

I’m in D’Esposito’s district. It’s a Biden +10 district and if the Dems get a good nominee he can be beaten with Presidential turnout. D’Esposito knows this and that’s why he keeps mentioning that he his anti-Santos.

“I look forward to standing with the Nassau County Republican Committee in supporting his primary opponent”

Fine.

But after you vote for the losing Republican, whoever it is, come back and vote Democrat. Be a winner.

Y’all Republicans are allowed to vote twice, right?

I have every confidence D’Esposito will change his tune should Santos secure the Republican nomination (then continue to whine about what a terrible choice he was).

He has his finger to the wind, but Santos is already damaged as a con man, and NYers despise Trump.

I know exactly what Santos should do. He should change his name - how about John Kennedy. Then, he should run as a WWII hero and on his heroic stand against missiles in Cuba. He should brag about his family’s $billions and their amazing contribution to solving cancer and poverty. And how about his time in Iraq personally capturing Saddam? Gotta throw that in.

The stupid part in our f*ked up world - it might work.

I grew up in NYC with a family who were staunch Democrats, and I brought that background to the Golden State. Anyway, good news at the end of the day is always welcome.

Last week, New York Republicans, including D’Esposito as well as Reps. Brandon Williams (R-NY) and Nick LaLota (R-NY), introduced the “No Fortune For Fraud” Act, aimed at ensuring current or former members of Congress convicted of fraud can not make money from book or TV deals.

This isn’t enforceable is it? If it passes? Is D’Esposito afraid it will be a tell all book?

The paperwork does not guarantee he will run for reelection but it does give Santos permission to fundraise and spend money on campaign-related expenses.

Imagine being Qavin Mac and having to live with the idea that you’re gonna hang your authority as Speaker on this fucker’s place in Congress?

Obviously, Qavin is not losing any sleep over it so that should tell you something.
