Cuomo ‘Vaccine Czar’ Called Up County Officials To Ask About Their Loyalty To NY Governor | Talking Points Memo

A longtime adviser New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), who is known as the governor’s “vaccine czar,” placed calls to county officials in the past two weeks to inquire about their loyalty to the embattled governor amid an ongoing sexual harassment investigation, following a slew of allegations that have led many congressional Democrats to call for his resignation.

Very trumpy.

I know right?

“Nice vaccination program you’ve got there. It would be a shame if anything happened to it.”

“Why?”

“Because he wants it”

Enough. We didn’t just get rid of Trump to put up with this behavior from someone else.

Cuomo has denied the allegations and refuses to step down. The embattled governor has brushed off the accusations as part of a “cancel culture” that is “dangerous” and “reckless,” while insisting that his critics wait for the state attorney general’s investigation into the harassment allegations to play out.

And shame on him for using a stupid right wing talking point to defend himself. Democrats have principles, as such, the only way Cuomo potentially saves himself is if he puts an “R” after his name. Good riddance.

They really are two sides of the same coin, only Cuomo is more intelligent. No common sense, though. Not one bit.

As we all know, NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio came out against the governor, so NYC had all its vaccines pulled. Right?

At the very minimum try to defuse the situation and let the appropriate officials handle it.

Is it time to cancel “cancel culture”?

Nope. We still have his brother.

I think Cuomo isn’t thinking things through right now. This has the tip of an iceberg type feeling to it. If he doesn’t resign, reporters are going to dredge up ever more jaw-dropping allegations. The bullying, the aggression, that sort of behavior is all-encompassing in my experience, that’s a repeated pattern of behavior. We’re definitely going to here much worse stuff about him.

Just look at Trump, for example. It wasn’t just one woman, it was in the 20s. And he was a bully in all aspects of his personal and business life.

It’s weird that none of these politicians have read the ‘Midas barber’ story.

Cuomo may have made his career by being a bully, but that track costs you friends and allies when shit hits the fan.

With people leaking like this, they all sense the blood in the water, and he’s gone soon.

Is there accusation or evidence that any county whose executive did not pledge loyalty got short-changed on vaccines? Or is this all speculation and innuendo? Also, if the governor’s accusers are in their rights to recruit allies (which they are actively doing), why is it wrong for the governor? Remember, Schwartz is a volunteer.

This is basically like Trump calling Georgia officials and asking them to look into voter fraud.

You don’t have to make the threat explicit for folks to get the message that the wrong answer could end badly for them.

At best, this was an idiotic move.

I too see it playing out that way. You don’t see anyone defending him that he doesn’t have in a choke hold.

With a side of Chris Christie.

Cuomo needs to go. He’s never getting the Dem nomination for President, so he should grab on to his last shred of dignity before it vaporizes and leave before his private-sector market value collapses any further.

Under current conditions everything he does will be taken and potential retribution. It was a stupid thing to do.

How could Cuomo not see that?
