Cuccinelli Won’t Say If ICE’ll Separate Undocumented Families

You’ll notice that these “raids” are targeting large urban areas – not the deep red rural areas where migrant labor (mostly undocumented) is doing the work… and I doubt that ICE has investigated any Trump properties where we KNOW that they use undocumented workers at slave wages.

Isn’t the Cooch from VA?

Easy answer. This is typical DJT, reach for the low hanging fruit and claim a magnificent victory.

Cuccinelli is from Virginia. Thankfully, he lost his bid to become our governor two years ago.

ETA: He was Virginia’s AG for a spell before he ran for governor.

This x 1,000. The size and ongoing slavish devotion of Trump’s audience is one of the saddest lessons Americans learned about ourselves in 2016.

Or the meat packing plants in Nebraska, or the agriculture areas in the South or California’s Central Valley, or any other area where the “illegals” who are here for all the free stuff are stealing American jobs.

“ICE prioritizes the arrest and removal of unlawfully present aliens who pose a threat to national security, public safety and border security. However, all of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention and — if found removable by final order — removal from the United States,” [Paul] Prince [SF ICE official] wrote in an emailed statement.

I wouldn’t be surprised to discover that money is quietly changing hands when the precise targets of such raids are being decided.

Northern California work includes home construction, plumbing contractors, landscapers and workers in big cities’ restaurants in the kitchens.

Exactly. Our immigration “problem” is a labor problem.

The solution? Raise the minimum wage. Require E-Verify. Fine employers. Vigorously enforce wage theft and other labor laws.

All these reduce the incentive to hire “illegal.” All these opposed by the Republican Party and this administration.

ICE Day seems to be very quiet so far… Lemme guess that dotard’s inability to keep his mouth shut about anything means that there will be a grand total of about 3 arrests by the end of it.

Being selectively targeted regardless of the outcome is discriminatory and illegal, and would open the government up to discovery to show they’re not being selective in such raids. I don’t think they want to go there. Whether or not undocumented workers are found at a given place is besides the point.

I’m surprised at least some deplorables haven’t expressed outrage that trump is “favoring” Democratic areas and isn’t persecuting the immigrants in Republican communities first.

Perhaps it’s an indication that it truly is hate that motivates the GOP base and not fear.

Cuccinelli is a vile slime.

There was a question about that?

Come on. Be proud of your Nazi work, you conservative coward. Don’t continue to pretend to be a Christian or decent human being any longer. We know who you are and what you are doing. So will your grandchildren and their grandchildren.

But it doesn’t stop there, the Trumpers are all in lather over “illegal” conduct of some while ignoring the illegal conduct of their one true one.

And then the next day, we’ll see a story (buried under a flood of Trump Tweets™ ) revealing that normally there would be about 10 across the country, but all the stories gave so much early warning that all the targets simply moved to a relative’s house for the weekend.
