A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) accused Big Bird of spreading “government propaganda” on Saturday after the Sesame Street resident tweeted (ho ho ho) that he’d gotten the COVID-19 vaccine to “give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy.”
Big Bird has been, and will continue to be, “A big bad perpetrator who is here to stay!” 
Chris Hayes had a great segment explaining that since GOP pols have no governing agenda they spend all of their time ‘trolling libs’. Ted Cruz falls over himself trying to be a smart guy who plays dumb, but I get the sense that he is losing to newer: perhaps even more cynical GOP pols (mainly governors) with better retail political skills and more likeable personalities.

Obvious points: Ted Cruz is a jerk and Josh Hawley is a snowflake.
Cruz once again tries to improve his lot and become the Biggest Asshole in the Senate.
Just trying to remain in the media’s eye.
Kinda weird Cruz isn’t bitching about the back alley abortions Oscar the Grouch has been performing all these years.

These people have more likable personalities then Ted Cruz:

Given my general cluelessness, I may be struck by lightning for posting this, but the sheer lack of self awareness of many (most?) GOP pols is truly breathtaking.
I believe god would pat you on the head and say “Smart.”
After Ted Cruz blathers, he breaks into a semi-smile of smug satisfaction. He loves being an asshole. He shares that same trait with Donnie. They are both sociopaths.

“Obtuse” sells well to their base. If you’re hunting prey (votes) and mingling with their kind is your strategy, covering yourself with their piss and stench works.
Yep! Even suburban white republican women love Big Bird for keeping their kids entertained while they mixed their third morning toddy. 
So I guess Hawley will introduce the “Let Men Be Men American Renewal Act”, which will mandate that women just stop making men feel bad about themselves? Will red states pass Incel’s Right to Date and Abuse Acts?
Can’t wait. That should definitely MAGA.
