He’ll be okay. I hear that tin-ear is a recognized disability now.

Crossfit has operated as a quasi-cult with a lot of libertarian ties. A better outcome would have been for it to simply break-up and perhaps get customers to consider more evidence-based exercise.

Wow! that is quite a list. It really hits home, how deeply, deeply ingrained these attitudes are that people express them so casually, and with no realization that the world is – at least in this moment – not their racist safe space. Makes ya think.

Sorta OT, but for the combination of tin ears, the facts that in this digital age in which we find ourselves nothing is truly lost, and turning on the lights still makes the cockroaches scurry:

In fairness to the guy, I doubt he was thinking about George Floyd or racism. He was thinking about the Covid-19 lockdown which probably came close to bankrupting his business. Without doubt he is bitter about that. He just doesn’t understand that Trump’s fucked up response to Covid-19 is the reason his business is still hurting. He will be lucky if his resignation saves CrossFit.

Anytime you seem to need to tell people that you’re not a racist, you’re a racist.

Americans would be shocked if they understood how many businesses exist for the sole purpose of helping the powers that be shelter capital gains and / or launder ill-gotten ones.

And yet somehow the Horatio Alger myth of ā€œMasters of the Universeā€ keeps on going. I suppose if you only focus on the ones that still exist, you get a warped view of how things work.

"I am not a racist. It’s just that the first thing that comes to my mind when I see something written or hear something said about a person of color … is racist.

And I just can’t keep myself from sharing my stupid, racist thoughts with others."

It’s society’s fault. Or Antifa’s. Or Hillary Clinton’s. Or the guy that owns that donut shop on 12th street’s fault.

That’s because they pay people to do their bidding, not point out that they have shit for brains.

Maybe Ivanka will hire him now.

I’m too lazy to google it - but weren’t people boycotting CrossFit last year for some racist / or anti feminist comment? Or was that SpinCycle.

But if you’re Minneapolis police union chief, it’s all good.
