There will be a grim equilibrium at some point, when the hospitals close to new patients, and enough Trumpies realize that they will die in the streets or their homes because of their own negligence. Commerce will halt, lockdowns are not necessary at that point - just like swimmers on a beach run for cover when they see the wave about to crest.
Recall in February 2020, that people stopped shopping and eating out at least two
weeks BEFORE the lockdowns went into place because of fear of the coming plague. The stupids in the hinterlands will have to see lots of dead bodies to “get it”, but if we lose another 300,000 before New Years Day, everything will come to a screeching halt.

In other news, as far as I can tell the judge has heard enough and seems to be shutting Rudy et al.'s lawsuit down. Hearing tomorrow canceled, and it seems like everybody needs to turn their cards up and show what they have by the end of the week.

I don’t know how the county judges who have the responsibility for health crises keep from going insane in the face of this shit. Ours is a Democrat and Abbott will barely speak to him. I know that the judge in Harris Co. is a Democrat and is trying her best. Not only will they not let the counties and cities do the right things, they fight us in court. El Paso is unspeakable at this point and they took them to court over restrictions. It’s unreal, emiliano. It is so hard to believe this is the country I grew up in.

As I have said more than oncd trump ain’t helping. He is deliberately not helping. He thinks herd immunity is ok not believing that it would destroy the nation (it would). He doesn’t get that it would mean 14 million dead in a year. Then again he doesn’t have any feeling about the dead. Even his younger brother recently died and “meh” … move on
