In a tweet following the decision, the House Ways and Means Committee said it expects to “receive the requested tax returns and audit files immediately.”

Yeah, sure. Been hearing this bullshit for three fucking years now. Any day now…any…day…now…

We’re always looking for the rainbow with a pot of gold at the end, but it is in fact very discouraging to know

Committee chair Richard Neal originally filed the lawsuit seeking Trump’s tax returns in 2019, when Trump was still in office.

It was the FBI.

Trump said on Monday that the F.B.I. had searched his Palm Beach, Fla., home and had broken open a safe — an account signaling a major escalation in the various investigations into the final stages of his presidency.

Not to get too personal but I’ve been having the roughest couple weeks of my life and this few days of news and the commentary here has been one of the bright spots!

Things will be getting better for me as they get worse for trump.

Now Trump-appointed IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig just has to hand them over.

The IRS was not involved in the raid, no snark, just the facts.

It was a joke, ok? I joked that the IRS raided Mar Al Lago. I know it was the FBI that executed a search warrant yesterday. I made a joke that the IRS raided it today.

Maybe tomorrow it will be the Palm Beach County Health Department or the USDA. ‘Raids’ come in threes you know.
