The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday ruled that the House Ways and Means Committee can access former President Trump’s tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service.

In a tweet following the decision, the House Ways and Means Committee said it expects to “receive the requested tax returns and audit files immediately.”

Committee chair Richard Neal originally filed the lawsuit seeking Trump’s tax returns in 2019, when Trump was still in office.

Not to get too personal but I’ve been having the roughest couple weeks of my life and this few days of news and the commentary here has been one of the bright spots!

The IRS was not involved in the raid, no snark, just the facts.
It was a joke, ok? I joked that the IRS raided Mar Al Lago. I know it was the FBI that executed a search warrant yesterday. I made a joke that the IRS raided it today.
Maybe tomorrow it will be the Palm Beach County Health Department or the USDA. ‘Raids’ come in threes you know.
