Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) all won the distinction of inclusion on President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court shortlist — and two of the three seemed enthralled by the notion.
“I’ve never been able to do something as consequential as my daddy did when he shot JFK, so I look forward to the opportunity to declare it unconstitutional for anyone to speak of my work as a male stripper or what I had to do to pay the bills.”
I appreciate the President’s confidence in listing me as a potential Supreme Court nominee. But as I told the President, Missourians elected me to fight for them in the Senate, and I have no interest in the high court. I look forward to confirming constitutional conservatives
'effing asshole, this a the same sort of statement he put out after being elected MO AG. Yadda, yadda, honor to serve the people of MO, I’m not a career politician, all utter bullshit. He and his wife are salivating over this position.
”Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) all won the distinction of inclusion on President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court shortlist…”
Well since Donald didn’t pick Goresuch and Barf, Don McGahn and Leo did…so who whispered in Trump’s ear to pretend to think about nominating these 3?
And I bet it was some Republican in the Senate who hates Cruz, because who doesn’t hate Cruz?
Distraction and intense pandering. This week is beginning to look worse than last week for him. One bit of bad news after another. If his support was a jar of peanut butter, you would hear the knife scraping the bottom. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his base, but it is going to be hard to cheat and hide it now. He got away with it as we didn’t grasp it the first time and he had another votes beyond his base to mask it. Don’t think those conditions are going to be present this time.
Distinction??? I can think of nothing more catastrophic for American Jurisprudence than any of these three being appointed to SCOTUS . . . with the possible exception of appointing Sarah Palin.
he [Trump] said. “They will give unelected bureaucrats that power to destroy millions of American jobs.
Funny unelected bureaucrats will destroy American jobs? While it only took one man who won the EC, but lost by almost a million in the popular vote to destroy the economy and jobs in just 3 months.
Let them crow, and then eat it.
There’s no reason to think this list isn’t DoA, as long as RBG is still with us (ETA: God keep her well.)
And the timing is so fucking suspicious: it’s a fucking shiny object to draw attention away from DHS and Woodward scandals that just hit.
That sure is a good way to keep three members of the Senate from saying anything bad about him. Pretty soon he’s going to throw them into a pit and have them fight it out.
And let’s face facts, Donnie’s credibility is completely in the crapper as of today, except with those among his deplorables who are too stupid to realize it.
In typical fashion he didn’t bother to ask them if they were interested. He never does, and then people turn him down, and they’re left with egg on their faces. You’d think he would lear—uh, no, actually you wouldn’t, if you’ve been paying attention yourself.
