BRUSSELS β€” Italy has become the first European Union country to apply for financial aid from a 800-million euros fund set up by the 27-country bloc to tackle the crisis triggered by the new coronavirus pandemics.

The first of many EU country to be applying. Somehow, I’m thinking 800M Euros just won’t be enough.

Maybe they should have taken a page from the political playbook of one Andrew Cuomo whose constant refrain is β€œWe are in this together!” Lesson learned, I guess.
