They were always going to catch up as soon as they did testing. Meanwhile, over the weekend, their governor was urging folks to eat at Bob Evans and get out there and mingle.

Anyone else wince when WV governor Justice said “once-in-our-lifetime event”?

“I’ve always known this is a, this is a real, this is a pandemic. I felt there was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic. I’ve always viewed it as very serious.”

Any similarities between West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice and Buford T. Justice are purely coincidental.

The good news is something can and must be done to control this public health emergency. The bad news is the beliefs of social environments have momentum. It will be hard to red state (verb) a solution that requires actual science.

I know some believe that rural areas are less likely to get it or spread it. This kind of proves nowhere is safe, it will spread everywhere before this is over

Rural areas will just take longer to be infected (or to do the testing to find the infected).

Pandemic means nowhere is protected.

I am surprised the Dotard does not self-asphyxiate due to his gas-lighting…

Wait, I thought we were going to be down to 10 or 15 cases by now, according to President 10 out of 10. Does pointing this out make me a snake, and disqualify me from my $1000 check?

My wife ventured out to a garden center yesterday to get some spring flowers to plant. They have a cashier outside and she just wanted to wander around the place and get out of the house (and away from me!). When she was paying for her pansies an older woman (older than her anyway) came up and pressed against her to get in line. They were the only two customers there. The cashier said, “m’am can you step back until we are done here. Six feet or more?” The woman answered, “we don’t have to worry about that virus here. It’s only city folk who will get it.” This was in suburban Maryland. So, this is going to be a real battle.

I’m assuming that the biggest deniers that this was a very serious problem, and thus the biggest non-compliers with recommendations regarding social activity and personal behavior, are his supporters. Which will suck for the non-Trumpies they come in contact with (who I hope are smart enough and able to avoid them especially), but likely mean that way more Trumpies will come down with it and suffer its worst consequences (which isn’t only death) than non-Trumpies. Of course they’ll probably blame that on Obama, Dems, Hillary and Oprah’s child porn ring, etc. But if someone has to die…

Yet another policy failure for Trump. “Dont Test Dont Tell” policy failed after heroic attempts by FOX and other wingnuts to call it a Hoax.
