George W. Bush says that you represent a Nativist party, Senator; and for once in my life, I think he’s trying to tell the truth. That statement by a former Republican president is now going to be memorialized within the records of the National Archives and among historians worldwide.
The jig is up. You support suppressing the vote within a republic. That is sedition. All the smug innuendos and silly parlor tricks being tossed around within your Senate committee won’t make that declaration go away. Putin can’t even help you any longer.
It has become clear that the BLM movement and the GOP’s insider Capitol insurrection will have consequences far beyond what Hawley, Trump and Cruz ever thought. When you lose the respect of your senior leadership, you have lost it among future generations, too.
