In 2018:

Steve Bannon to Michael Lewis: “The Democrats don’t matter. The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.”

We’ll soon see if this holds true in Cornyn’s case.

I’m not sure “I could have said something, been effective for you my constituents by airing a message about your real needs and how I stand for them; but instead – because it would have cost me a political hit to my power – instead I chose to do nothing” is quite the winning message that Cornyn thinks it might be.

Thanks.

Also, I’m not sure you won over any spouses in “bad marriages” with this message…

Yeah. Perfect analogy. It’s like being married to Brad Parscale.

Cornyn told the Forth Worth Star-Telegram that he has tried avoiding public confrontations with Trump because “as I’ve observed, those usually don’t end too well.”

Profile in courage.

“Maybe like a lot of women who get married and think they’re going to change their spouse, and that doesn’t usually work out very well,” Cornyn said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

I think a lot of women actually in tough or even abusive relationships are going to find this comparison very off-putting. Women in these relationships have a lot to weigh and think about; physical or mental abuse, the welfare of their children, financial considerations, housing, etc., etc., etc., whereas Cornyn only had angry tweets to worry about.

Sure…it’s the same thing.

When you and the other GOPPERs aquitted Trump last winter, people died.

A lot of people. And it continues…

You do not deserve to call yourself a “public servant” let alone continue as such.

God I wish a McConnell tape would surface showing what he really thinks of Trump.

You enabled him.
You exempted him from crimes.
You are complicit with his actions.
You are a self-serving coward John Cornyn.

Well, do you have any records of your private correspondence?

Er, no…would you believe in my innermost thoughts, then?

We actually have this device…

Ok, ok. I confess. I have no inner life. I’m nothing more than a male mannequin, except almost as lifelike.

However, Cornyn told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he’s had an easier time working with the President on judicial nominations, Hurricane Harvey relief, a U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal and tax cuts — issues he was comfortable praising Trump for publicly.

And Cornyn has no problem with herd mentality, currently when it comes to life and death decisions Johnny chooses not to defend life.

As well as this is a sexist remark.

“he has broken with Trump on issues such as budget deficits and debt,” but “had an easier time working with the President on . . . tax cuts.”

“nobody knew that health care budgets could be so complicated,” when Texas schools don’t teach cause and effect.

Cornyn also agrees with Trump on “I don’t take responsibility at all.”

That’s an Ace-High Clueless Male Idiot-Statement. Designed to, somehow, show women _________________ (I don’t know what the FUCK he wants to show, but I know little Johnny wants a pat on the head from Mommy).

As a male POC, I have mercifully never had to be catered to like this…and, I must say, it may be worse than simply being called a name…
