I don’t even really hope for DJT to show any restraint in his power grabbing at this point -because his power madness probably needs to get even more egregious for it to reach some critical mass that will really wake up and move enough Americans to make the difference.

Why stop with the FBI? Why not order the Joint Chiefs of Staff to call in the personnel and materiel from Special Forces, Marines, Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, and Coast Guard? Declare another emergeny in Texas. The military who have returned from the California War have had enough of a break.

If they were in Texas, they would be subject to arrest and forcible return to the Capitol. But they’re not in Texas, so all the fascists have is specious lawsuits and bomb threats to the hotel.

We’re losing our democracy because no one cares enough to fight for it. Generations of complacency have made us take our freedoms for granted.

How do I know? Where the fuck is the crowd of 10,000 people around the Texas state house? Huh? What the fuck are Texas democrats doing aside from using this crisis as yet another fucking excuse to fundraise? They should have organized a massive march in Austin, but instead they went dickless yet again.

When the lights go out, we will have no one but ourselves to blame. No one took democracy from us. We grumbled, but we meekly handed it fucking over.

That’s just enforcement, mostly around reporting requirements. Campaign accounts in Texas are basically slush funds the pol/candidate can spend on most anything they want.
